First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Fine. First edition. Tall octavo. 146 [1] pp. Illustrated from black and white macro photographs. Foreword by Jonas S. Friedenwald. Ownership stamp and signature of a noted American psychologist on the front fly, tiny stamp ("S-57") on the front pastedown, else fine in a just about fine dustwrapper with a touch of soil and very faint toning on the spine. In his 1984 obituary in the *British Journal of Ophthalmology*, Dr. Michaelson was called "one of the outstanding ophthalmologists of his generation," and this monograph a "classic," and "a landmark from which many of the modern views of vascular disease of the fundus of the eye have developed." A nice copy of an important work.
