Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. 1st Edition. Examined in its entirety by seller, see all seller supplied images, copy is, overall in good condition, as described. There are about five separate green markings, visually they seem to be crayon, possibly from a child, on the fore edge of the copy, each less than 1/2" in length, no more than 2mm in width. Pages 74-75 contain penciled notes, commentary on the given passage and also a 1" tear, which has been repaired by tape, at the top of page 75. Front cover is fraying slightly on each corner. However, in spite of these imperfections, like the child's crayon markings, the copy is intact, block, binding and spine are strong, text is completely legible, nothing marked through. Former library book with the usual indications.

First edition. Collection of "Dallas Yesterday"columns from theDallas Morning Newsby newspaperman, Sam Acheson (1900-1972.) This copy from the library of Texas printing giant, Carl Hertzog, with a warm inscription from the editor, Lee Milazzo. Milazzo notes he couldn't bear to not include Hertzog in his first and possibly only publication, and since Acheson did not write of Hertzog, he had to get creative. Carl Hertzog is indeed listed in the index of the book, and is featured on pg 404. A wonderful and humorous association copy. 8vo, 403pp. Brown cloth lettered in gilt, nearly fine, in very good jacket, spine sunned and with some edge wear. Warmly and lengthily inscribed by Milazzo to Carl Hertzog on the ffep.
