This volume has no publication information. I assume that info wass in Vol. I; I see no indication that pages are missing. This is a square and securely bound volume. Cracking to hinges with exposed binding. Binding remains firm. Boards have moderate edge wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Leather peeling to spine and corners, with noticeable scuffing and scratches overall. Mild tanning to front board, white white stained marking.

Decorative Boards. Condition: Good. First Edition. Undated publication but believed to be the first edition from the late 1850s. Previous owner's name and date (1860) to the front pastedown and the text contains references to the 1850s. The spine is faded with a little fraying to the top. Rubbing and bumping to the corners and the rear panel has three small stains towards the bottom right corner. Browning to the page edges. Browning to the pages and the edges of the text block is a little uneven - no page loosening however. The endpapers have a little marking with four words in pencil to the rear free endpaper and the webbing exposed along the hinge at the rear. Brown spotting to the pages at the front and back of the book. Small dark stain to the title page. One line of writing on the reverse of the rear free endpaper. There is a little corner creasing, a few stains and pencil notations, some spotting and a small piece torn from the bottom corner of one page but the pages are generally unmarked. First printing.
