Hardcover. Condition: Fair. First Edition. Oblong octavo. [1], [36] photograph illustrations. Dark green cloth hardcover with gilt title on the front cover. Light edge wear to the cloth extremities. Ex-institutional copy from the Long Island Historical Society with blind embossed circle stamps on the title page and the last photograph print (Windsor Falls). Label on the front paste down reads - "Presented to the Long Island Historical Society by Mrs. Samuel Knapp Frost." Title page has a large horizontal tear upper section. The tear has resulted in partial loss of the letters l in 'General' and the word 'view.' Rear hinge has a light crack. Photographs are clean and in very good condition with the exception of the last photograph which has the blind stamp. Contents include a nice view of the Oliver Wendall Holmes residence. Fair.
