Seller: James Lasseter, Jr, Brooksville, FL, U.S.A.
Book
Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine+. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good-. Second Edition, March, 1969. On the dedication page, the author states: "To all my friends in the Cody Country/then and now, who helped this/Johnnie-Come-Lately write part of its/history/". Underneath this dedication the author, at the request of this bookseller, has signed and inscribed the work as follows: "For James Lasseter, Jr./with all good wishes and/happy reading./Lucille Nichols Patrick/". An oversized work of 178 pages with an index. When a search of libraries and historical centers disclosed an absolute minimum of information on the town named after Col. William F. (Buffalo Bill) Cody, the author decided to write a history. This has been accomplished in a manner that would do credit to any professional historian. Dust jacket is protected in an archival quality cover. Dj is not priceclipped but two lines have been drawn through the price which is still clearly readable. The head of the spine of the dj has a small piece missing and there is wear at most corners. There is some light smudging that might be removed from the dj by goo gone. All in all, a quite presentable copy; available for immediate shipment, carefully packed in a sturdy box!. Signed By the Author.
