Lady Gregory was an Irish playwright and theater founder whose journals tell us about the Abbey Theater, and her work producing and directing plays there. Her writings also contain her perspective on the political turmoil present in Ireland in the early twentieth century, with information on other prominent literary figures like Shaw, Yeats, and others. Some rubbing to the edges of the boards; jacket has a bit of sunning to its spine panel and traces of rubbing.
