- Gutes Exemplar. Sprache: Deutsch Gewicht in Gramm: 500 Orig.-Leinenband mit illustr. Orig.-Schutzumschlag. Reprographischer Nachdruck der Originalausgabe Dresden, Kuntze, 1852.

Hardcover. Condition: Good. Bound in publisher's red cloth. Rebacked, with original spine retained. Some edge wear / rubbing. viii, 332 p., 31 pages of ads. 18 cm. Minor Scattered staining. A view of Mexico (and America) from a British traveler during the time of the Mexican-American War. Ruxton (1821-1848) was a British soldier, explorer, and travel writer. In 1846, he went to Mexico to observe the Mexican War, then he traveled north through Texas to Santa Fe, and Colorado. Quite an interesting account of a fellow of the Royal Geographic Society. Ruxton provides a wealth of information about current attitudes of Mexicans for Americans, the manners and customs of the people. Sabin 2107 (1848, NY printing). 1st English ed. Eberstadt 114:890.
