Book
Hardcover w/ Jacket. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. This 8.25 x 11.25 inch, 119 page hardcover book with dust wrapper is the apparent First Edition of this title in 1968 - with no real printing information given on the copyright page. This hardcover book by Funk and Wagnall?s features a red cloth cover-over-boards with gilt titling on the spine. The red cloth shows a touch of color fading around the edges and very modest bumping to the four corners - but beyond that - this book inside and out is in fine condition. The text pages show no handling wear or markings - with the pages featuring the Eric Sloane incomparable sketch work - and with several black-and-white photos to illustrate the text story. The dust wrapper is in near fine condition with handling-wear showing to the cream-colored paper but the wrapper shows very little edge-wear and with no tears or chips missing - with the $6.99 price unclipped on the front flap. The wrapper is now protected by a mylar cover. 119 pages.
