With a clipped dust jacket with red and black titles to spine and red titles and a black and white drawing to front. 287 pp., red top edged, with a number of black and white photographs. The cover is free of shelf-wear and the binding is tight. There is light offsetting to the feps, otherwise the pages are clean and unmarked. The dust jacket is good; there is very minor shelf-wear to the extremities, it is tanned, especially the spine, and there is some light marking.

Otherwise, a very good to near fine copy - clean, bright and unmarked - in a foxed and edgeworn dust jacket which is nicely preserved and displayed in a clear archival Brodart sleeve. ~M~ [2.0P] The memoirs of English ballerina Lydia Sokolova (1896?1974), focusing on on her years with the Ballets Russes. Sokolova trained at the Stedman Ballet Academy and learned from accomplished dancers including Anna Pavlova and Enrico Cecchetti, and was a prominent member of Sergei Diaghilev's Ballets Russes from 1913 to 1929. After the disbandment of that company, she taught, choreographed and occasionally danced. Her last stage performances were in 1962 at the Royal Opera House, London.
