This is a homemade book which has been professionally bound. It is typewritten, with a post card of the State Fencibles Armory in Philadelphia pasted in, capital letters for each chapter are also pasted in, and a full page illustration is pasted on the front cover. There is a sixteen page history of the State Fencibles of Philadelphia at the end of the book. This book was probably issued in the late 1930's or the 1940's. The fencibles were a home guard infantry unit. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
