Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: No Jacket as Issued. Clean and tightly bound in dark green cloth with gilded cover imagery and black titles. Slight slant to spine and edge and shelf wear. Contents have a few light pencil marks otherwise clean. This copy is from a 19th Century private lending institution, the Mercantile Library of New York (Astor Place). There is a handwritten number and Mercantile Library stamp on the title page and some of the internal pages. There are no other indications of the library's ownership. A nice copy.
