Scott Williams. George Wharton James (1858-1923) was an English-American author, journalist, photographer, editor, and lecturer. He specialized in writing about California and the American Southwest. Harold A. Taylor (1878-1960) was an English-American photographer. From 1902-1907, Taylor specialized in photographing Yosemite where he operated his Studio of Three Arrows. He later moved to Coronado, California in 1912. From 1939-1940, Taylor had a photography studio at the Coronado Hotel. Taylor retired in the El Cajon and La Mesa area in Southern California.
