[Printed in Nanking, China]: The Chimes Press, 1933. First edition. Side-stitched book bored silk wrappers loosely laid within red-silk-over-boards folder. 20 cm. 65 pp. This copy has been signed by Winthrop on the title page. WInthrop was a Detroit writer affiliated with the Raven Poetry Circle of Greenwich Village during the 1930s-40s. In very good condition. No other ownership marks/writing present within. Light edgewear/bumping/creasing to the wrappers. The folder's hinges have separated and the bone clasps are missing.

8 x 5.25, side stitched blue silk wraps laid in loose into a blue silk- over-boards folder with two bone (?) clasps, 65 pp on decorative paper illustr a red tree, covers rubbed, inner hinges of folder cracking, text block edges a bit soiled else a nicely preserved little book of poetry. Winthrop was a Detroit writer. INSCRIBED "For Mary & Joe -- The most loyal and 'oldest' friends, with love, Marie, May 1936." Scarce piece.

Each page with same background illustration of cherry tree with blossoms, 7.5 x 5.25", tri-fold silk boards with paper cover title label and two bone(?) clasps, text in side-stitched paper wraps, 65pp, covers a bit rubbed and soiled, inner hinges of boards cracking, some soil to textblock edges else a nice copy. Printed in Nanking, China. INSCRIBED AND SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR. Detroit area author. For those who like their literature on the fancy side.

Paperback. Condition: Very Good. Japanese binding; stitched blue cloth with paper label on front cover (8vo, 65 pp.) in blue cloth chemise with fore-edge clasps. Inscribed by the author on the half-title page: "For Mary Fair -- Who is a charming girl with the most delightful name I know. Peg Winthrop." Spine tips gently bumped and thread broken, otherwise book is fine, in battered chemise. A scarce item, especially signed. Winthrop was a member of the Raven Poetry Circle of Greenwich Village in the 1930s and 1940s.
