Half dark brown morocco and black cloth, gilt-stamped lettering in spine compartments (5 raised bands); folio (288x193mm); title-page with ornamental woodcut border, and numbered leaves (1-10, 1-29, 1-28, 1-44, 1-8, 1-12, 1-32, 1-25, 1-53, 1-19, 1-11, 1-21, 1-9, 1-8, 1-33, 1-12, 1-8, 1-30, 1-10, 1-19, 1-84, 1-51, [39] (table)) with woodcut decorative initials, printed in blackletter. With 16 smaller, early manuscript leaves tipped-in between sections. Boards rubbed; light scuffing at spine tips, along joints and edges of boards. Title-page somewhat browned, and lightly chipped along the edges; text block a bit brittle along the edges; some foxing or browning throughout. Bookplate of the New York City Bar Association. Covers regnal years 1461-1483, Edward IV With an index of cases, side-notes and cross-references. An extremely important source for our knowledge of medieval common law.
