Hardcover. Condition: Good. Two hardcover volumes. Dark green cloth over boards with gold emblems on front covers and gold lettering on spines. Title page and copyright page of Volume I dated 1927. Volume II is dated 1955. Volumes I and II are 713 and 530 pages, respectively. Books are in good condition. Very minor wear to edges of covers, which are otherwise clean and crisp with bright gilt stamping. Spines are perhaps slightly toned, though it is difficult to tell as the cloth is already very dark. Both covers protected with mylar sleeve. Bindings are strong and square. Bookplates with the name Weld on front attached endpapers of both volumes. Pages are clean and unmarked. Overall free of tears, bumps, or creases. Features several black and white photographs, maps, and illustrations, some of which fold out. This is an oversized (and overweight) set. Extra shipping charges may be required for international or priority delivery.
