Item Description: Watkins Publishing, London, 2011. First edition. Hardcover. Large 8vo. xxii + 474pp. Original brown cloth with silver titling to spine, turquoise endpapers, b&w and colour photo insert, endnotes, bibliography and index. From the publisher: "This new biography, written with the cooperation of leading Crowley scholars and including new revelations from Crowley's grandson, displays the full scope of the man's many achievements as poet, explorer, spiritualist, wartime spy, and a thinker as significant as Jung, Freud, or Einstein." Many questioned the need for a new biography of "the Beast" so soon after the release of the widely-admired revised edition of "Perdurabo," but Churton's work has been very well received with most knowledgeable commentators positive about the fresh perspectives that it offers. NEW book. Fine in fine dust jacket. Bookseller Inventory # 40347
