Item Description: Houghton Mifflin, Boston, 1991. Hardcover. Book Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. First Edition; First Printing. First Printing/First Edition with full numberline. SIGNED by Alice Adams, Kate Braverman, Harriet Doerr, Amy Bloom, Leonard Michaels, and Robert Olen Butler. All signatures on full title page. Guest edited and introduced by Alice Adams. Includes the stories "Love is Not a Pie" by Amy Bloom, "Tall Tales From the Mekong Delta" by Kate Braverman, "The Trip Back" by Robert Olen Butler, "Viva La Tropicana" by Leonard Michaels, and "Another Short Day in La Luz" by Harriet Doerr. Also includes stories by Alice Munro, John Updike, Joyce Carol Oates, and others. Half title page has a manufacturing defect, it is too long on the left side, and the part of the page that would stick out of the bottom of the book has been folded back to fit the rest of the book. Book gently bumped at both ends. Dust jacket spine a touch sunned. Original price intact. This book belonged to the collector Rolland Comstock. Card with Comstock's handwriting included. The card indicates the book was signed by a total of 8 authors, not the 6 I have listed. For the life of me, I can't find the signatures for Charles Baxter and Lorrie Moore. I suspect Comstock died before obtaining those last two signatures, but Baxter did sign several other books for Comstock so perhaps I just missed his signature, but I doubt it. DJ spine is faded with the exception of where a circle and label are on the archival cover. Ships same or next business day. ; Signed by Author. Bookseller Inventory # 66325
