En más de cuatro décadas de vida profesional y académica, Ardalan ha practicado la arquitectura en dos zonas geográficas / cultural: América del Norte y Oriente Medio, con excursiones proyecto al Lejano Oriente, Europa Central y Occidental. Sus diseños de los proyectos van desde las ciudades y los centros urbanos a los servicios culturales y educativos, hoteles, centros comerciales, edificios de oficinas y edificios de apartamentos, villas privadas y palacios. Ardalan enfoque se basa en cuatro fuerzas de diseño estructurado sobre las preocupaciones de la tecnología función, el medio ambiente, la cultura y avanzado. En el libro "Arquitectos Contemporáneos", Mitchell Rouda dice de él: "Nader Ardalan es un hombre dedicado a la búsqueda de los orígenes."
