VERY GOOD Condition PAPERBACK; The Blind Assassin is a tale of two sisters, one of whom dies under ambiguous circumstances in the opening pages. The survivor, Iris Chase Griffen, initially seems a little cold-blooded about this death in the family. But as Margaret Atwood's most ambitious work unfolds--a tricky process, in fact, with several nested narratives and even an entire novel-within-a-novel--we're reminded of just how complicated the familial game of hide-and-seek can be:; 521+pg pages; Suspense, mystery, fully crafted.WINNER OF THE BOOKER PRIZE cover seal blurb.

Signed and inscribed by the principals of Rice Brydone Limited, Eleanor Brydone and Peter Rice, upon front free endpaper. Includes four-page Foreword by Margaret Atwood entitled 'Living in Space'. "Tracing the principles and processes of interior design, this book provides a portrait of the field as seen from the perspective of a leading North American design firm. Rice Brydone presents the current concerns of interior design for the urban corporate market, including new directions that take economics and ergonomics into account as much as corporate identity and aesthetics. The book's descriptive examples and photographic content are taken from Rice Brydone's archive which documents the firm's extensive portfolio of experience - from work in office towers to renovations of historic buildings. Projects are highlighted within the context of the design process itself and the overall scope of interior design." - dust jacket. 103 glossy pages lavishly bound in sandstone cloth and profusely illustrated with colour photography. Negligible wear to book. Sunning to the moderately-worn dust jacket which is now preserved in archival-grade Brodart. ; Photographs; 4to; Signed by Author.

Large folio. (45 X 36.8 cm.) Handmade blue paper covers made by the artist. Front wrapper consists of the title and the rear wrapper contains the colophon. 8 large single leaves of Rives paper with a single fold in the middle. The Left hand side has a poem printed and the right hand side is a full page black and white lithographic illustration. Each one has the original tissue over the plate. The last plate is titled in pencil at the bottom. Overall a fine clean copy all housed in a fold over box. The box has warped over time but does not effect the contents. This is the very rare second book by Margaret Atwood, illustrated by Charles Pachter. Lecker and David A2. The edition was limted to 15 copies, hand signed by both on the colophon. This copy is not numbered but designated an Artist's proof. Atwood's first book, Double Persephone was a small chapbook and came out 3 years earlier. This extremely grand production was the first collaboration between the two and lead to future projects including the Journals of Susanna Moodie. A magnificent production!.
