A group of prisoners at the strict Westgate Penitentiary plan an escape, but fear their plans will be ruined by sadistic, power-hungry guard Captain Munsey. Director Jules Dassin's important first film, a key noir followed by several others, notably "The Naked City" (1948), "Thieves' Highway" (1949), "Night and the City" (1950), and "Rififi" (1955). 8 x 10 inches.
