Canning Ellis and Frere worked as "Comrads" on the "Anti-Jacobin" journal. Carisbrooke Library edition. KingdomGeorge Canning's paper, The Anti-Jacobin, criticized the English Radicals, of the 18th and 19th centuries. The English who supported the French Revolution during its early stages (or even throughout) were early known as Jacobins.

No dust jacket. 446 pp. The book is in good + condition with only very minor shelf-wear to the extremities of the cover. The binding is a little slack. There is offsetting to the feps. There is a little light foxing to the front matter, last page of text and page of book adverts and very occasional minor spots scattered throughout the text. Otherwise the pages are clean and unmarked.
