ONCE YOU'VE TASTED JOY AND PASSION, ONCE YOU'VE KNOWN HEARTBREAK AND LOSS, DO YOU DARE TO DREAM OF . . . LOVING. BOOK NUMBER: 3937. SYNOPSIS: Bettina Daniels led a very different life from that of most girls her age. Her mother had died of leukemia when Bett was only 4, and she had been raised by her father, Justin Daniels, who swept her into a world of incredible glamour and excitement. Justin Daniels was an author whose last seven books had spiraled to the top of the best seller lists. Together, he and Bett jetted from New York to Paris to Beverly Hills, from luncheons to parties to Broadway shows. He became her hero, her companion and her best friend. No wonder she nearly went to pieces when suddenly, when she was 19, he died. For the first time in her life, Bett was alone, though not destined to remain so for long. There was Ivo Stewart, her father's closest friend and publisher of a large New York newspaper. Ivo stood by her when she learned of her dad's debts and bankruptcy. He offered her security, his home, and a first experience with romantic love . . . Anthony Pearce was a British actor whose passion for the theater was equaled only by his passionate desire for Bett. He proposed to her more than once, and finally his charm and persistence won her . . . Dr. John Fields was looking for a wife at the same time Bett needed a friend. He gave her help and kindness. She repaid him with love and a son - though she used stolen moments to write a play destined for Broadway . . . Oliver Paxton, an eminent theater critic, put Bettina's career before his own. Oliver watched with pride as Bett's Broadway plays skyrocketed to success - and he waited for her fateful "yes" . . . Four men, in turn, promise love in this wonderful new novel about a talented, attractive young woman and her search for herself. Danielle Steel, author of such best sellers as The Promise and Summer's End, has written a romantic tale that focuses on one woman's experience - yet touches us all. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
