Stapled wraps. Condition: Very Good. Illustrated by Don Greer & David Gebhardt (illustrator). B&W and Color Illustrations; This is an oblong paperback book. The book is in Very Good condition and was issued without a dust jacket. There is some lightish rubbing and wear to the spine ends and corners of the book covers. The text pages are clean and bright. "The Convair F-102 Delta Dagger[N 2] was an American interceptor aircraft designed and manufactured by Convair. Built as part of the backbone of the United States Air Force's air defenses in the late 1950s, it entered service in 1956. Its main purpose was to intercept invading Soviet strategic bomber fleets (primarily the Tupolev Tu-95) during the Cold War. A total of 1,000 F-102s were built. A member of the Century Series, the F-102 was the USAF's first operational supersonic interceptor and delta-wing fighter. It used an internal weapons bay to carry both guided missiles and rockets. As originally designed, it could not achieve Mach1 supersonic flight until redesigned with area ruling. The F-102 replaced subsonic fighter types such as the Northrop F-89 Scorpion, and by the 1960s, it saw limited service in the Vietnam War in bomber escort and ground-attack roles" (from Wikipedia).

The book is in Very Good- condition and was issued without a dust jacket. The book covers have some light bumping and rubbing to the spine ends and corners. There are several creases to the covers as well. The text pages are clean and bright. "The North American F-86 Sabre, sometimes called the Sabrejet, is a transonic jet fighter aircraft. Produced by North American Aviation, the Sabre is best known as the United States' first swept-wing fighter that could counter the swept-wing Soviet MiG-15 in high-speed dogfights in the skies of the Korean War (1950 1953) , fighting some of the earliest jet-to-jet battles in history. Considered one of the best and most important fighter aircraft in that war, the F-86 is also rated highly in comparison with fighters of other eras. Although it was developed in the late 1940s and was outdated by the end of the 1950s, the Sabre proved versatile and adaptable and continued as a front-line fighter in numerous air forces.
