Trade Paperback. Condition: Very Good. German Language Edition. A6 - A German language text trade paperback book in very good+ condition. An unread, tight, clean, sound copy with very minor overall shelf wear. Marvin Collins is an African-American reporter for popular men's magazines and he is thoroughly fed up with berlin. An offer to to write a cover story article about neo-Nazis allows him to say bye, bye, Berlin! But then a bomb explodes in his life, and that letter: in the popular African-American GIs nightclub 'Magic'. Among the victims is a friend of Marvin's. This gives him reason enough to want to uncover the facts of the crime and he also hopes it will lead to a good story too. Marvin and his girlfriend Carla set out following a trail of leads that take them into the red light district and encounters with neo-Nazis and Arab terrorists. But they begin to suspect the real truth behind the bombing only after US intelligence starts interfering in their lives. This is an exciting, fast-paced thriller based on an actual event: the bombing of the Berlin discotheque 'La Belle'. Tamara Domentat, born 1959 in Berlin, studied American and Black Studies in Germany and in the US. She began her professional writing career as a journalist and translator and has developed into a noted non-fiction author.
