Book First Edition
Original Card Wraps. Condition: Very Good. Presumed First Edition. No stated date c1940s. 48pp. Presumed first edition and one of the publisher's "Mary Ann" books. It is probably the first in the series as it introduced the reader to Mary Ann. Written for the older child or young adult, this is a hard-to-find collection of short tales about Mary Ann, written in the Forfar Scots dialect. The book is staple bound in brown thin card covers with black titling on the front. It is in very good condition with rusting to the staples which has caused some damage to the card around them. The contents are secure and clean although any further rusting could cause the pages to become loose. There are some rust stains around the staples on the pages near the middle of the book. A name has been written on the top edge of the title page.
