Item Description: 1890s-1940s, 1940. Soft Cover. Book Condition: Very Good. First Edition. First editions. More than 1350 different pulp and bedsheet sized magazine issues spanning the 1890s through the 1940s. Overall condition is above average, and the run is virtually complete beginning with the 1920s, but with increasing numbers of issues missing prior to that, particularly in the 1890s. [To avoid any confusion, please note that while many Edgar Rice Burroughs issues are included in the above "Argosy" series of magazines, titles such as "Under the Moons of Mars" and "Tarzan of the Apes" are not present because they were published in a different "All-Story" series of magazines specifically entitled The All-Story Magazine / All-Story Weekly / All-Story Cavalier Weekly. The "Argosy" and "All-Story" series of magazines did not merge until 1920]. [NB: Due to the physical size/weight of this item, unless other arrangements regarding potential transportation are mutally agreed to, this item is available on a "pick-up" only basis]. Item Description: Thomas Seltzer, 1923. Hardcover. Book Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Ed. 1st ed. This is a most unusual copy of the true first edition of cummings' first book--it has a signed presentation note to Eugene Delafield opposite the title page, and is signed again by cummings inside the book over the poem "Orientale." The book is in excellent condition with the spine darkened and the spine label showing wear. In the interior of the book there is a small, repaired edge tear on p. 119, amd a small offsetting mark at the top of the page gutters on pp. 114-115, where the owner undoubtedly used a piece of paper as a bookmark. Overall, however, a very nice copy, and rare to find signed--especially twice!. Signed by Author(s). Bookseller Inventory # 005705

Item Description: Horace Liveright, New York, 1931. Narrow 4to, original cloth-backed boards, acetate dust jacket, publisher's slipcase A very fine, largely unopened, copy in slipcase which is inexpertly repaired at a few places along the spine panel. Rare in this condition First edition. One of only 95 numbered copies printed on special paper and signed by Cummings. Firmage A11b. Cummings' third major collection of poetry, W shows the poet's growing ease of experimentation with typography and word spacing. The seventy poems in the collection are arranged according to a scheme based on the number seven in which every seventh poem is a sonnet, except for the last seven, which are all sonnets. W contains some of Cummings' best known poems, such as "i sing of Olaf glad and big", "in a middle of a room", & "somewhere i have never traveled". Bookseller Inventory # 22426
