Crosby married Mary Peabody and the two moved to Europe, where they regularly engaged in the social circle that included Salvador Dali, Ernest Hemingway, and Henri Cartier-Bresson. Together, Harry and Mary "Caresse" Crosby founded the publishing house, Black Sun Press, which is known for its early publications of famous authors like James Joyce, D.H.
