Red cloth covered boards and spine with black lettering and dog illustration on both the spine and the front board. Fair amount of bumping at the head and tail of the spine and at the tips of the four outside corners, all with light accompanying rubbing. Some scuffing and scratches on the face of the bottom quarter of the spine where the dust jacket is absent. Red endpapers. Previous owner's name and info written on the upper edge of the front endpaper. Binding has a very slight forward lean and is still tight. Pages are clean and crisp. 266 pages. Illustrations throughout. Dust Jacket - is missing the bottom 3 inches of the spine and about a third of the lower part of the rear cover near the spine. 1/2" chip in the tip of each of the four outside corners. Chip in the upper edge of the rear cover is 3/4" deep at its deepest point and about 1 1/2" long - right next to the upper outside corner. Chip in the front corner of the head of the spine is 1 1/4" at deepest point and about an inch long. Couple wrinkles and overall evidence of handling. Colors of the front cover are still distinct and the front cover artwork is still pretty attractive.
