An Autobiography. Big Blue Book B-814. 120 pages. This is the second of two volumes of autobiography by the proprietor himself, densely printed in two columns of small print per page. In the first volume, Haldeman-Julius described his professional life up to his 25th birthday; the second installment, which is more than twice as long as the first, largely abandons the chronological structure. It begins with several pages of poorly reproduced black and white photos of the author at different times of his life and then collects a slew of memoirs of places and people (including the main Little Blue Book authors, with lists of the sales numbers of their titles). Fine 8" x 5" condition stapled paperback. 182.

Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. Marcet & Emanuel Haldeman - Julius joined talents to jointly write a number of short stories. "The Girl in the Snappy Roadster" was originally published in 1931 as Little Blue Book No. 1605. From various things about the cover, we know that this was a reprint, issued circa 1945 - 1947. The book is fairly uncommon, especially in decent condition. ******************************* SERIES : Little Blue Books (No. 1605) / TITLE : The Girl in the Snappy Roadster / AUTHORS : Marcet & Emanuel Haldeman - Julius / EDITOR : E. Haldeman - Julius / IMPRINT : Haldeman - Julius Publications / PLACE : Girard, Kansas / DATE : No Date [but circa 1945 - 1947] EDITION : Reprint / PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION : Petite Paperback; 32 pages (Pagination includes Title Page) 3 3/8" x 4 7/8" , printed buff wraps with 1 staple, printed in black. "A University in Print" device on rear cover (Mr. Globe). Also small size "Union Label" on rear. Other small defects such as slightly chipped corners, printer's smudges, and such are common. Any flaws beyond the normal for these will be detailed. Little Blue Books often did not have blue covers - or the blue has faded to gray. Please remember that vintage paper items are more fragile than their modern counterparts, and thus require proper care in handling. // THIS COPY - VERY GOOD - Cover toned; a small surface discoloration on rear cover - else clean. Interior toned, else clean and unmarked.
