Sheet_music. Condition: Good. [8] p.: music; 32 cm. Engraved by G. W. Ackerman. Removed from a volume of sheet music published from 1825 to 1850 with former owner's name on the front: "E. C. K. Seymour." Contains melody with keyboard accompaniment. The composer, Joseph Philip Knight (1812-1887), was an English clergyman and composer of popular songs, who came to the United States in 1829. The lyrics were by American women's rights activist and educator Emma Hart Willard (1787-1870). In Good Condition: foxed, most heavily along edges; occasional pencil checkmarks; first leaf and last leaf separated but present.
