Hardcover. Condition: As New. Mongoose Publishing RuneQuest (Mongoose Publishing) Companion (EX/NM)Manufacturer: Mongoose PublishingProduct Line: RuneQuest (Mongoose Publishing)Type: HardcoverCode: MGP8104Copyright Date: 2006Page Count: 96Please review the condition and any condition notes for the exact condition of this item. All pictures are stock photos. The condition of the item you will receive is EX/NM. Our grading system is explained in the terms of sale section of our bookseller page. Please feel free to contact us with any questions. Product Description:The RuneQuest Companion expands on some of the rules from the core rulebook and also offers a large number of new rules for use in the game. Within these pages, readers will discover the secrets of the spirit world and how to handle spirit combat in RuneQuestâ and they will also meet a few of the more common and more dangerous denizens of the spirit world. New and powerful styles of magic are explored as well, from the faithful priest who gains magical power directly from his god to the learned sorcerer who uses skill and will to wrench magic into existence, to change it and manipulate it. The RuneQuest Companion also contains an expanded chapter on cultural backgrounds and professions. From the primitive herbalist, to the mariner sailor, to the civilized tumbler, players will find a host of new backgrounds and professions to suit any character idea. The lives of adventurers are not put on hold when they return from the wilderness and the RuneQuest Companion explores this as well. The Between Adventures chapter provides rules for making a living while inside a cityâ legitimately or notâ as well as covering a wide variety of topics important to the adventurer who finds himself between adventures. This includes such things as item creation time, item quality and how much things might cost in different areas of the world. Of particular interest are the discussions of item qualityâ the products of master craftsmen and the benefits these masterpieces of the craft can bring to the characters that use them. A huge part of the life of a hero is spent traveling. After all, no character can expect to spend his days in the comfortable environs of a city's finest hostel, waiting for all the adventures and challenges of the world to trudge their way across the globe to his door. Indeed, as most adventurers know, the greater the challenge and the greater the reward, the more remote and forbidding the locale. The Travel chapter offers simple and streamlined rules governing journeys made by land and by sea, allowing a Games Master to easily determine the time required and the troubles encountered along the way. Sea travel in particular is discussed in detail, from travel times, to storms, to fires, to combating enemy ships. The Games Master will find simple and straightforward rules that allow him to add flavor and peril to a sea journey without consulting a score of tables or making dozens of die rolls. Lastly, the Travel chapter introduces a variety of ships to RuneQuest, delineating their statistics and prices. Finally, the RuneQuest Companion closes with a chapter on Temples, replete with details on these permanent and semi-permanent religious structures. From humble woodland sites to the majesty of a great temple, what separates one from the other is fully discussed and delineated, and a selection of example temples is included for ease of reference. The RuneQuest Companion is the perfect expansion to the all-new RuneQuest system.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions. Product Description:Incursion is a trial by fire for new WARS Player Characters. This incredibly action-packed scenario will introduce new players (and new Games Masters) to the exciting and turbulent Solar System of the WARS Roleplaying Game, a fast-paced and ever-changing adventure that will give beginning Player Characters a chance to make a name for themselves. From the creaking, dripping Cellar of Themis Station to the brutal cold of space to the ruined bridge of an enormous derelict battleship, the Player Characters will pick their way through a plotline rife with danger but with very few clear paths. They might make and break alliances, turn enemies to their side or find themselves staring down the barrel of a gun at someone they thought was a friend. The immersive and multi-layered plotline of Incursion takes place in perhaps the most perilous region of the Solar System â the territory claimed by the Mavericks, and offers Player Characters a wealth of choices and options as to how to go about their business. Each choice the Player Characters make will have a dramatic effect on the remainder of the scenario, allowing them to resolve the plot in any manner they choose. There is no "correct" way for the Player Characters to act in Incursion, no need for the Games Master to urge them in any direction. Whether as heroes or monsters, they will find their way.Incursion is a 48-page adventure intended for a group of 1st level Player Characters. By the end of the scenario, they will have advanced to 3rd or 4th level.

Though the Drazi are accounted by all the races as relentless, skilled warriors, in the eyes of most other races the accolades stop there. The Drazi are a pugnacious race, aggressive and quick to anger. They have an innate love of fighting and will be happy to resolve any dispute among themselves with either single combats or massed brawls â to a Drazi they are much the same thing and they are not held back by the same concept of honor that restricts many other races. The Trouble with Drazi drops the Player Characters into the midst of this simmering mess, giving them a front-row seat for a Drazi power play and a chance to observe some of the raceâ s best and worst qualities and of course, little choice but to involve themselves in the troubles swirling all about them.

It details everything a player or Games Master needs to begin adventuring in the world of Wars -- no knowledge of the card game or other roleplaying games is required!Character creation, combat on the ground and in high orbit, skills, feats -- all of this is included, as are statistics on the major vehicles of the setting, allowing players to pilot Juggernauts across the pitted surface of Ganymede or ride to battle in a Gongen TSV. Rules and stats for bots are here, as well, so no Maverick needs to worry about being without his trusted General Bots NAV4.The rich setting of Wars is also detailed, from the secrets of Seyal to the urban plexes of Earth. Adventure can take place in the Quay infested tunnels of Ganymede, in the Gambler's lair on Europa, in the elegant and harmonious settlements of Gongen or in the shipyards of Luna. The Mumon Rift unleashed strange energies into the Solar System, altering those exposed into something other than human. Every player character has been touched by this energy, known as 'kizen', and can develop these powers in addition to their more mundane skills and abilities. Kizen can surround themselves with a shocking aura, learn their enemies plans via pschometry, or use action without thought to react instantly in combat.
