First edition thus, the first edition of the present omnibus volume: various lesser-known selections from Lewis Carroll including essays, verse, and his Russian travelogue. Much of the material had not previously been published in the US, although some had previously been released in the UK. The Russian Journal had appeared in a private limited edition of sixty six copies but this was its first appearance in a trade edition. Green boards with black titling and decoration, very good with light edgewear. Spine square. Binding sound. Dust jacket good to very good in Mylar with toning, scuffing, light general edgewear, minor chipping at spine foot and a larger chip across the top fore-edge corner of rear panel. Bookplate removed from front paste down, with expected scarring. Pages lightly toned, text unmarked.
