Macartney took the role of 'Eddie Fuseli' in the play 'Golden Boy' (by Clifford Odets) when it was directed by Rex Rienits and performed in Melbourne in December 1948 and presents the book "in appreciation". A survey of the theatre in Australia from 1789.
