However, in their initial fight, Green Lantern is knocked out, however instead of falling to his death, the power ring opens up a hole in the Earth for Hal to fall into until he wakes up and pull himself up. * Doll Man story "The Man in the Iron Mask" - Doll Man is given a radio-controlled toy airplane, which can hover, from his pal Doctor Roberts, and they call it the Doll-Plane. Moments later, gang leader Dan Vittorio is fleeing the scene of a hit-and-run crash and pursued by cops when Doll Man flies by and distracts him, causing him to fatally crash his car off a bridge, into a second crash with a canyon wall, where it bursts into flame and plunges into the river far below. But after Doll Man flies away, Vittorio crawls out of the river, alive but horribly disfigured. A kindly benefactor finds him and nurses him back to health, and later shows him a medieval whole-head helmet, and its painstakingly-handmade unique key. Vittorio flips out when he sees how badly his face is damaged, and murders the old man.: Color Illustrations.

He quickly flies out as Captain Marvel and arrives to find a group of men attempting to save a mill from going up in flames from the oncoming fire. Captain Marvel spreads silver iodide powder over the clouds resulting in gushing sheets of rain.
