Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Koun Ohara (illustrator). Presumed First. Book is in slip case. Back lower areas have a some small creases. Also name in ink on lower front corner. Name and address in ink inside cover. Cloth shows wear on lower corners. Interior is very clean and illustrations are very bright. The text is both in Japanese and English. Books are normally mailed within twenty-four hours.

Accordion style book with 50 striking and beautiful individual flower and plant tree studies, in color, wood cuts. Arrangements on one page & Japanese & english text on the opposite page. Original slipcase with title label to spine in Very Good condition but does have some tape repair to top. Attractive slipcase with original metal pins securing top and bottom.

Pages separated at Illustration No. 14. There is a silver R. Bensabott, Inc., China Japan Importers of Art Objects label on the front cover. The spine & edges of the slipcase are somewhat age darkened.

Small octavo in green silk, title on paper label, special endpapers; bound in traditional folding accordion manner opening to fifty colour plates depicting various stylized arrangements of flowers, with descriptive text in Japanese and English. Silk covers with a few worn spots, paper contents apparently tanned. Colours bright and clear. With original slipcase. Lovely book.
