Pencil writing on title page. No page numbers. A miller died and left the mill to his first son, his donkey to his second son and a cat to his youngest son. The son can't earn his living with a cat so the cat takes matters into his own hands. He uses a sack to catch game fit for a king and one day tells his master to bathe in a pond and pretend to drown, the king rescues the miller's son. the cat then plots to get his master lands and the hand of the king's daughter. In Sleeping Beauty, a king and queen give a party for their new born daughter but only invite 7 of the 8 fairies living in the kingdom. Six fairies give the new baby gifts but the eighth one curses her to die on her sixteenth birthday. The sixth fairy modifies the curse so the princess only falls asleep for 100 years to be awoken by a kiss from a prince. Both classic tales are illustrated in color pictures. Size: 9.5 x 12.75.
