Lightly rubbed at the corners. Lettering is faded. 160 pages, Inscribed by the author to Dr. Howard Townsend on the ffep. No date listed, cir. 1930. Dr. Poucher is better know for his work on gravestones and genealogies. Born in Claverack, Columbia County, NY in 1859 where he describes the area and his childhood there. Became an M.D. and opened a practice in Ulster County in 1883. Eventually ended up in Poughkeepsie. He also describes his experiences in the Spanish American War, political experiences and travel.
