The binding is in Black Faux (fake leatherette) with a gilt-edged panel in full colour of a Viking ship of the ninth century that courses gracefully over the waves with its fierce dragon head glowing. The book is in excellent condition, classified as 'AS NEW' as it belonged to a private collector. There are no markings or tanning as far as I can see. (see images). The book and text are both in fine condition, and the spine is still tight; it appears this copy hasn't been read that much, if at all.
