Similar Gilt & Black Design to spine and Gilt Grounds to lettering. Beveled Edges. All Page Edges Gilt. Frontis illustrated with a portrait of Sir walter with facsimilie Signature below, protected by tissue guard. Title page illustrated with a Vignette of Abbotsford. Well illustrated with B&W Full-Page Plates. Text enclosed within Red Linear Margins throughout. 671 Pages. 7 1/2" Tall, 650g. Slight edgewear and spine colour a little faded (see photo). Presentation inscription on ffep, dated 1881. No other inscriptions. Pages and Plates in very good, clean condition. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.

Illustrated Title Page and Printed Title Page date 1865. In Contemporary Full Leather Binding with 5 Raised Bands to spine. Gilt Title in one compartment and decorative design with between dark bands in others. Blind tooled linear borders with decorative corners to front and rear. Edges Bevelled. Inside border hatched. All page edges Gilt. Brown Endpapers. A "Life of Sir Walter Scott" by Alexander Leighton, 11 Pages long, precedes the Poetry. 665 Pages + Publisher's Adverts. 6 1/2" Tall. Some wear to leather, 2 small splits (1" long) at either side of top of spine and a tiny bit of leather missing from very top of spine. Pages in very good condition with only an occassional spot of foxing. Size: 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall.
