Brown spotting to the insides of the covers and the pages are a little browned but otherwise unmarked. First printing. Postage charge will be reduced by £1.50 when the order is processed.

The mystery surrounding the extraordinary theft of the Gairlie Rubies, a collection of 811 perfect gems set in various pieces of jewellery. Austin J. Small, 1894-1929, was an English author known for his works of genre fiction including detective stories, science fiction, adventure, westerns, thrillers, and romances. He served in the Royal Navy during the First World War, and was inspired to write after meeting Jack London; he tragically died by suicide when he was only 34.
