Handsomely bound for Hatchards of Piccadilly in contemporary full russet morocco, the spine with five raised bands and titles in gilt. Gilt ruled inner dentelles. All edges gilt. Marbled endpapers. Printed on India paper. A near fine copy, the binding square and tight with just a hint of darkening to the spine. The contents with a contemporary previous owner's name in ink to the front free endpaper verso and a couple of faint marks to the half title and title pages are otherwise in very good order and clean throughout. A most attractive copy of Shakespeare's works, including all of his plays, poems and sonnets, and with a useful glossary by W. J. Craig.
