The triumphant story of the African Amewrican experience on Broadway seen through the rediscovered life of a unique, lyric-writing genius, Andy Razaf. He turned to songwriting, creating with partners like Fats Waller, James P. Johnson, and Hubie Blake. His more than 800 songs included such landmark standards as "Ain't Misbehavin'", Honeysuckle Rose", The Joint Is Jumpin'", "Stompin' At The Savoy", and the bawdy "My Handy Man". "Keep Shufflin'" (1928) was his first Broadway show and his night club music quickly moved from Harlem to The Great White Way.
