Seller: Cleveland Book Company, ABAA, Rocky River, OH, U.S.A.
Hardcover. Condition: Near fine. Second Edition (?). Small octavo, 153pp. A near fine copy, crisp and clean, in the publisher's red cloth with gilt decoration. Front inner hinge starting, contemporary owner's name on the front paste-down (Dean Taylor?), and possible evidence of a lifted bookplate to same (positively no evidence of this ever having been a library book). An important little volume, which marks the first appearance of Wallace Stevens in print (his poem "Vita Mea"), and also an early appearance by Edward Arlington Robinson ("Menoetes"). The first printing was published by Brown in 1899; this 1901 edition by Page seems to have been issued with the same sheets and a new title page. Though not the true first printing, a rather nice example.
