Hardcover. Condition: Very Good +. 2 Volume Hardcover Set, 1985 Ashford Press Facsimile reprint of the original London first edition of 1894. Vol 1 has 479 pages and Vol 2 has 501 pages. Both volumes are Very Good+, no jackets - as issued. Blue cloth boards with gilt titles and accents - corners sharp. No previous owner marks - all pages are bright, clean and crisp. Only flaw is a touch of foxing to the top edge of the textblock (if not for that, this set would present as Like New). Small (7 3/8" x 6" x 2 1/2") but heavy set printed on heavyweight photo-stock paper and richly bound and decorated. Vol 1 has 13 chapters, 17 full page illustrations and 93 additional illustrations. Vol 2 has 13 chapters, 31 full page illustrations and 160 additional illustrations. Really captures the elegance of Yachting in the 19th century. Vol 1 is ISBN-0907069223 and Vol 2 is ISBN-0907069231. LOC SSS-29.

Volume II - published in 1894, gold lettering on the spine, gold crest on the front cover; xvi, 456 pages; leather edges are lightly worn, top foredge is gilded, cover is lightly soiled. Previous owner's name on the inside of the front free endpapers. This is a very good copy, although not matching, of these two books which are part of The Badminton Library.
