In publisher's original pictorial, green and ochre, paper covered boards with printed slate grey title label and white titles to spine - all still very good with just a little browning to the top spine end and minor bumping. The binding remains tight, sound and square. Internally very good with coloured photo frontispiece and numerous black and white plates throughout, occasional light mark, dated ownership inscription to top right corner of the ffep which also has a light stain to bottom right corner and some offsetting/sparse spotting to enpapers generally. The unpriceclipped dustjacket is almost complete with some nibbling/chips to spine and fold ends and three or four closed tears [longest 1 inch] with rubbing at some folds and edges [see images]. The Story of Elsa and her Cubs. Introduction by Sir Julian Huxley, 1961; Forever Free. Elsa's Pride, 1962. Nice set of George and Joy Adamson's account of their pioneering conservation project involving three generations of lions in Kenya's Serengeti in the late 1950s/early 1960s. The first volume formed the basis of James Hill's 1966 Oscar-winning movie of the same name starring husband and wife team Virginia McKenna and Bill Travers.
