Hardback. Condition: Very good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. Henk van Booyen (illustrator). 255 pages. Excellent hand sketched illustrations in b/w. By the turn of the twentieth century, facilities for an impressive wide range of sporting activeties were in existance, inter-town fixtures were frequent, and sportsmen were already pitting themselves against visiting teams and were themselves "travelling". It was not unnatural, with such an early and vigorous sporting tradition, that Rhodesia, with its favourable sunny climate, should have become a nation of sportsmen and sportswomen achieving such distinction on the international scene. Here is the highly readable story. A near very good hardback with some light edge rubbing and marking in places with a dustjacket with chipped edges, a little light blotching. No significant edge loss.
