Back panel of dust wrapper has a reprinted black and white portrait photograph of the author and advertises another one of his books, The World of Jeeves. Pages and covers of book are very clean, intact, and undamaged. Former ownership inscription in blue ink pen on front pastedown that says, "Geordie." Dust wrapper is very clean and intact with some chipping at the top of the spine and slight edge wear. Outer plastic coating (lamination) of the dust wrapper is chipping a bit near the front hinge. Dust wrapper is not price-clipped. No remainder marks. A Fine book in a Very Good dust wrapper. The story centers around an impoverished man named Henry who tries to sell an antique paperweight from an estate, but the trustees won't allow him to do it. However, Henry meets an avid collector names J. Wendell Stickney who is keen on acquiring the valuable heirloom. In typical Wodehouse fashion, various misadventures arise as more characters enter the fray.
