This is a complete volume of the poetic works of Lord Byron, collected and arranged with illustrative notes by: Thomas Moore, Lord Jeffrey, Sir Walter Scott, Bishop Herber, Samuel Rogers, Professor Wilson, J. G. Lockheart, George Ellis, Thomas Campbell, and Rev. H. H. Milman. Illustrated with elegant steel engravings, and also includes facsimiles of Lord Byron's hand writings at various periods of his life. This book is full binding in decorative brown leather; gilt on all edges. It has "Byron" in gilt letters on the front and back cover with "Byron's Works" in guilt letters on spine; decorative front and back cover boards and first end pages, and several engraved illustration plates including a frontispiece of a portrait of Lord Byron. This book is in very good condition with previous owner's name on inside front board and again on second front end page dated 1870. There is a discrete inscription (a dedication as a Christmas gift to the owner) after the second end page behind the frontispiece. The front cover and spine are slightly faded compared to the back cover. There is slight scuffing on joints and edges of boards. No Signature. Bookseller Inventory # 801624
