A wonderful activity book for grown-ups who love all things Edward Gorey (1925-2000) and the Gothic novel Dracula written by Bram [Abraham] Stoker (1847-1912). The stage play was written by Hamilton Dean in 1924 and toured England. It was revised by John Balderston, and first performed on Broadway in 1927 with Bella Lugosi as the lead character of Dracula. In 1977 it returned to Broadway at the Fulton Theatre with sets designed by Edward Gorey. The book includes instructions for the assembly of the toy theatre, a synopsis of the plot of the play with a list of the cast of characters and scenes. Eighteen pages to cut out and fold together to form the stage and players.
