Item Description: London, Longmans, Green & Co., 1889–1910, 1910. 12 volumes, octavo. Finely bound by The Chelsea Bindery in full green morocco, coloured label (each colour reflecting the respective titles), decoration spines gilt, raised bands, rule to boards gilt, marbled endpapers, all edges gilt. A fine set. With numerous illustrations by H. J. Ford, 6 latter volumes having additional colour plates. A complete set of First Editions. Lang, poet, scholar and journalist, devoted much of his life to the compilation of traditional Fairy stories from around the world from both the ancient and modern world. With the publication of the Blue Fairy Book in 1889 he commenced his famous series.
